.PT co-organizes Portuguese Initiative of Internet Governance Forum

The 9th edition of the Portuguese Internet Governance Forum Initiative (IPFGI) took place on November 3rd, at the .PT headquarters, the Barra Barra building, with the motto "Everyone connected. A secure, resilient and sustainable internet". Co-organizers of this Initiative were the .PT, ANACOM, FCT, CNCS, DECO and CGI.br. 

This year, we focused specifically on the topics of connectivity and protection of human rights; on trust, security and sustainability; on emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and also on the future that is foreseen for the Portuguese language in the digital era. Following IPFGI, on November 4th, the .PT and the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) organized a round table with some of the national players in the digital area, to exchange experiences and best practices. Topics such as Internet access, information security and personal data protection, digital transformation of the public sector or artificial intelligence were discussed.
