The new .pt Registration Rules are now in force

The new .pt Terms & Conditions (registration rules) came into effect on 1 July and are available for consultation here.

The updated version of the Rules is the result of the public consultation process held between 7 and 28 April 2026, during which suggestions and questions were received from the community. The document containing the feedback received and the corresponding responses is available here.

The new Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy and WHOIS Policy also came into effect on the same date.
