The event celebrating the Rampa Digital, a .PT initiative with the support of Google.org, took place yesterday at the Cork Oak and Cork Observatory in Coruche, with the aim of promoting the use of digital as a tool to boost business and ideas.

The session was opened by the Mayor of Coruche, Francisco Oliveira, the Chair of the Board of Directors at .PT, Luisa Ribeiro Lopes, and Helena Martins, Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google Portugal, who gave us a video message.

After the opening and taking stock of the initiative, the following panels were a time for sharing and testimonies. The first panel was dedicated to partners from the business sector and included Marta Moreira Dias from .PT, who moderated the session, Duarte Lobo from the Portuguese Confederation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Diva Cobra from the "Tomarinveste" Investor Support Office and Francisco Oliveira, Mayor of Coruche.

The second panel was dedicated to social sector partners and included Luisa Otto from Rampa Digital, who moderated the session, Maria Joaquina Madeira from the European Anti-Poverty Network, Pedro Aragão Morais from Sector 3, Andreia Monteiro from the Cerebral Palsy Association of Viseu and Ana Cruz Violante from the Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Handicapped Citizens.

This was followed by a presentation on the sources of funding available to small and medium-sized businesses, by Marcos Eckart Esteves from Deloitte, and a workshop on strategies for leveraging business through digital, by Luís Torres, a trainer specialising in Digital Marketing.
