Learning across borders: insights from my visit to .PT
My visit to the Portuguese ccTLD registry .PT was a true highlight of my mentor–mentee journey with the EU DNS Women programme by CENTR, together with my mentor Andreia de Brito.

Over the course of three days, I had the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the work of .PT. The thoughtfully designed programme allowed me not only to meet many colleagues, but also to develop a deeper understanding of how another registry operates. I especially appreciated the welcoming atmosphere in the beautiful "Barra Barra” office, as well as the shared lunches, which created great opportunities for informal exchange.

While at the core our work is quite similar, it was particularly interesting to explore the differences, shaped by varying registry sizes, country dimensions, and organisational structures.

The EU DNS Women programme by CENTR aims to support and empower women in the DNS industry by fostering mentorship, knowledge exchange, and professional development opportunities across European registries. Through initiatives like this exchange, participants can build networks, gain international perspectives, and further develop their skills in a collaborative environment.

My sincere thanks go to .PT and DENIC for making this visit and the valuable exchange possible. For me, this exchange was a valuable opportunity to broaden my perspective and learn from others.
