.pt achieves a record 16% growth in 2025

.PT recorded a growth of 16% in new domain registrations in 2025 compared to the previous year. This result, which represents one of the strongest years ever in terms of growth, consolidates .PT as the trusted infrastructure for the online presence of companies, institutions and citizens.

This performance, which excludes figures from incentive programmes such as Empresa na Hora (ENH) — through which .PT offers a free one-year service package that includes a .pt domain, a website creation tool, hosting and email services — takes place in a context of strong acceleration of Portugal’s digital ecosystem. Recent data from the study "Digital Economy in Portugal 2025” show that internet usage has already reached 89% of the population and that e-commerce has grown to 59% of users. The growth of .pt is therefore directly aligned with the increasing need for companies and citizens to ensure a resilient and secure digital presence. This growth also reflects the proven relevance of the trust factor associated with Portugal’s country-code top-level domain, which is a determining factor when choosing an internet address.
