04-08-2025
On September 22 and 23, the 3rd Lusophone Internet Governance Forum will take place in Mozambique (also with online participation). This is a joint initiative by .PT, LusNIC, ANACOM, CIG.br, NIC.br, FCT, INTIC, and ARME, bringing together representatives from across the Lusophone world to discuss the digital future of Portuguese-speaking countries.
This edition will focus on the following key themes:
- Access, Inclusion, and Diversity in the Digital Lusophone World
- Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development in the Lusophone World
- Secure and Reliable Digital Infrastructures
- Digital Economy, Innovation, and Collaborative Governance
The day after the Lusophone Internet Governance Forum, LusNIC, in partnership with Coalition for Digital Africa (CDA) and ICANN, will host an in-person training session aimed at LusNIC’s African ccTLD members (.ao, .cv, .gw, .mz, and .st), as part of a new digital capacity-building project running until March 2026.
This training marks the practical launch of the project, which also includes online sessions, customized business plans, and reference materials in Portuguese, with the goal of strengthening the technical, legal, and operational capabilities of Portuguese-speaking African registries.
