.PT and Huawei deliver 50 scholarships for Portuguese students

.PT and Huawei delivered 50 scholarships to male and female portuguese students.

 

From 3000 applications to the first edition of the Scholarship Programme, 45% were from women. Among the 50 winners, half are female, thus enhancing gender equality in the ICT sector, and there are students with different academic degrees, from undergraduate to doctorate.

 

The ceremony to award the grants took place on 13 April, and was attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Elvira Fortunato.

 

This is a Huawei initiative in partnership with .PT, and with the support of INCoDe.2030, of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality and of Portugal Digital.
